We're about a week away from our February meeting on the 9th, 10:00 a.m. at Sew-Bee-It and we sure have a lot going on. . .
Sandi has arranged for us to have a sew-in at Sew-Bee-It after our meeting on Saturday from 1:00-4:00. There is a class in the morning that will last until around 12:30. This will give us time to do some shopping, grab a bite to eat, and then meet back up and get some sewing done. We are planning to work on the Madrona Road Challenge Quilt(s) and the Guild banners. Feel free to bring your own projects to work on too, or just come and hang out with some great Modern Quilt Guild buddies.
Madrona Road Challenge
Our Madrona Road Challenge blocks are
. Janet presented this challenge at our January meeting and distributed beautiful fabric packs. She has asked that we bring our leftover scraps to this meeting for finishing out the quilt(s) we're going to make. If you need a refresher on the challenge rules, check out the "Madrona Road Challenge" post from January 2, 2013.
I have had so much fun playing with our logo blocks. What a beautiful bunch. A wonderful display of individuality and creativity, and such a great group effort! Before our blocks become guild banners, we thought they should make an internet debut.
From the top left, and working right:
Janet, Sharon, Cindy
Gerry, Gerry, Joan
Jean, Denise, Gayle
Debra, Sandi, Sandi
Kate, Brenda, Ava
I think these are going to make gorgeous banners! Don't you agree?
I hope everyone can make it to the meeting and stay afterwards for some sewing. Don't forget your Madrona Road Challenge blocks and your leftover scraps.
Until then, keep stitching!
