We are pleased to partner with Chattanooga’s Association for Visual Arts (AVA) for a new series of events: Handcrafted Happy Hour.
To kick it off, join us Thursday, Sept. 20 from 4-6 p.m. at Wildflower Tea Shop, located at 1423 Market Street in downtown Chattanooga.
You’re invited to come and go as you please as we enjoy tea and time to work on individual projects alongside one another. All fiber artists are welcome to attend, whether you quilt, knit, crochet, weave, embroider, create macramé, design clothing, do needlework, etc.
If you have a quilt that needs binding, bring it! Working on an EPP project? Perfect! Knitting a sweater? We’d love to see it! If you want feedback on a design, we’re happy to chime in. And if you’re in between projects, feel free to bring a sketchpad and colored pencils.
Makers of all skill levels are welcome.
Handcrafted Happy Hour is great opportunity to get better acquainted with your ChattMQG guild mates, and to meet other artists working with various fiber-related mediums in the Chattanooga area.
This is the first in what will be an ongoing, bi-monthly gathering co-sponsored by AVA and ChattMQG.
