Quilt as you go (QAYG) is a fun technique that can help you tackle large, overwhelming projects one step at a time. It’s also great for making bags and other small quilted items.
Join us this Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. as we explore QAYG methods with a modern aesthetic. As always, visitors and prospective guild members are welcome to attend.
And don’t forget, we have two more exciting events on tap this month!
Grab a beer and mingle with fellow fiber enthusiasts during Handcrafted Happy Hour, Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 4-7 p.m. at WanderLinger Taproom in downtown Chattanooga.
Bring some handwork or a sketch book, and ask a friend to join you! This event is open to the general public, and makers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. Come when you can, leave when you like—there’s no set timeline.
Then on Friday, Sept. 20, we’re hosting a trunk show with award-winning quilter Elaine Wick Poplin. It starts at 7 p.m. and is free for ChattMQG members. Nonmembers are welcome to attend, admission is $8 if you prepay online or $10 at the door. Click here for more details.
